To A Better Bathroom!

The first apartment we rented when we got married had the most amazing bathroom. I found out later that it had been created by knocking down a wall that resulted in the joining of a sunporch with a rather large pantry when the building was sub-divided by a previous landlord. The floor plan was well thought-out.

The towel racks, mirrors and other accessories were strategically placed and of the highest quality. The same could be said of the sink, tubs, faucets and tiles. (Not to mention oodles of closet space). I decided then and there that one day when we bought our own home, this would be the way I want our bathroom to look!

Fast forward to today... we recently closed on a wonderful house in a really great neighborhood. We'll be happy and safe. The kids will attend a wonderful school that's just a few blocks away! The first project when we move in (actually BEFORE we move in) is the bathroom!

First things first! I ventured out on the net in search of the bathroom furniture and accessories we will need. I found an amazing site, betterbathrooms!

All of the products are showcased on the landing page! They are eye-catching, with strong designs suggesting timeliness and durability. On the sidebar of the webpage there are things I had on my list, such as bathroom mirrors, along with things I hadn't thought of, like heated towel rails! (Which are now ON my list too!)

Betterbathrooms' website is very user-friendly: clear, concise and precise! That's just the way I like it when I'm ordering things!

Best of all, I can use my Master Card or Visa when I make my purchases. And should I need any particular fittings or adhesives, they are readily available directly through betterbathrooms! They're all about good products, fair prices and great service!

Give a Holiday Gift That Will Be Forever Cherished!

You can't dismiss the importance in pop culture of t-shirts, one of the most powerful articles of self-expression since the mid-20th Century! One of my fave places in the whole wide world is Canal Street in New York City. They have the most amazing t-shirts for sale, sometimes you can get 20 for $10!

Maybe you'll never make it to the Big Apple... think a moment: have you ever seen interesting or unique tees on television or in the movies and wished you could own one? There's a place I know of where you have that kind of power. The power to create or re-create a beautiful t-shirt that you've seen. Cafepress t-shirts can not only connect you with a multitude of wonderful tees: you can also design your own! They have an online design feature.

Once when I was in Hong Kong I saw the coolest tee - I asked a few locals where I could buy one and I dropped by a few shops, but all the stuff in stock was for TOURISTS. (You could tell!) That was about 7 years ago. If that were NOW, I would have clandestinely taken a picture of the dude's t-shirt with my cell phone camera. Then, when I got back to the states I would have searched google and bing for the logo or artwork that appeared on the shirt. After that, it would be no problem to import the info to my computer and use it in designing a tee all my own!

Even if you don't have a photo, use your memory + imagination to come up with that elusive or special design!
REMEMBER: CHRISTMAS IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER! WITH THE ECONOMY FORCING MANY PEOPLE TO CUT BACK, A PERSONALIZED GARMENT, POSTER OR MUG IS A VERY VERY SPECIAL WAY OF SAYING 'HAPPY HOLIDAYS' AND GIVING A GIFT THAT WILL BE CHERISHED FOREVER!
Think about the possibilities! And it doesn't stop with t-shirts! Think mugs! Mugs for your coffee or cocoa, or just to use as display decorations or penholders on your desk! Mugs you can PERSONALIZE! Just use your imagination!

And how about one more item: posters! You might be the next Andy Warhol or Peter Max! Remember the old psychedelic posters from the 1960s? Design your own poster or art print online! AMAZE your friends and family!

Gearing Up For the Baby Reader

I'm a bookworm - I love reading. I had a collection of Bible Story books when I was in pre-school and when I was in elementary, my favorites were Sweet Valley High and Nancy Drew. Exposure to books when I was young contributed a lot to my love of reading.

Last night, while I was updating my Kindle Store, I decided to buy some books for Baby G at Amazon. I really want to expose her to books while she's still young but I can't buy books for her here because they are written in French and/or Arabic. Since we'll be visiting Philippines in June, I decided to buy just a few books then do the book shopping in the Philippines. (I'm already excited to visit the National Bookstore!!!)

With a budget of just $40, I started searching for board books in Amazon. Here are the books that I've chosen:

My Big Animal Book (My Big Board Books)Big Board Books Colors, ABC, Numbers (Bright Baby)Curious George Bigger and Smaller Lift-the-Flap Board BookThe Going-To-Bed BookCounting Kisses: A Kiss & Read BookHead, Shoulders, Knees and Toes (Baby Board Books)Baby Bible Storybook for GirlsGoodnight Moon

All these eight items total to just $35.62 with the following breakdown:

Subtotal of Items: $39.55
Shipping & Handling: $10.92
4-for-3 Promotion: -$3.93
Super Saver Discount: -$10.92
------
Total for this Order: $35.62

Because I chose to avail of the Free Super Saver Shipping, I have to wait for 5 days to a week for the books to arrive. But, awww... I can't wait!!! Right now, the only book I'm reading to Baby G is this book which was given to us by an officemate of Daddy G.
Toes, Ears, & Nose! A Lift-the-Flap Book

It's a flip-the-flap book and Baby G enjoys it. She sometimes gets so excited that she almost tore one of those flaps. Scotch tape time, mommy??? LOL!

Anyway, have you tried ordering books online, too? Can you suggest other baby books to me because I really find it hard to decide on these books just by reading their product descriptions. We could compare notes once Baby G's books arrive.

Thanks and have a great April ahead!

The New Entrecard MarketPlace

Entrecard is retiring its current marketplace and will be replacing it with a new one. The new market place entitled EC Market works similar to craigslist and it’s a standalone site, meaning it’s not deeply integrated with Entrecard.

The new marketplace should make it easier for users to manage their ads. Buyers and sellers will communicate with each other via email. If a transaction is made, the buyer would need to manually pay the seller from their entrecard account.

I currently posted two ads on the site. The first one is the Post Digger and the other one is entitled 1,000 EC Credits for $1.50 Only!

Wanna check out the new marketplace? Here's the link: EC Market.

Shopping Time!

Warning! This post is intended for the reading pleasure of Daddy George. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to use your credit card after you have read this. LOL!

Thoughts on New Year's Resolutions and Stuffs

I authored a post entitled "How To Make a New Year's Resolution and Stick With It" but until now I still wasn't able to come up with my new year's resolutions list. Isn't it ironic?

Anyway, instead of a new year's resolution, I've decided to make some sort of goal-setting in terms of finance and personal development, among other things. Finishing the cross stitch pattern I started two years ago will surely be included as well.

I'm planning to learn a new skill or try a new hobby this year, too. Since BBG is less than a year old, it has to be something I can do at home. Any suggestions?

As to this blog, I'm planning to come up with a contest by June and another one by December. Hopefully, many will join it but as for now, I have to promote this blog because it's still less than a month old and I need to reach out to more readers and bloggers to make any contest successful.

By the way, I'm planning to advertise on Adgitize. Do you think it is a good step (and a profitable one as well)? If you're an adgitize advertiser, I would like to know whether, in your opinion, it is worth it.

For my baby, I'm looking at stuffs right now at Amazon. One of these days, I'll be buying one of these for my sweet little angel, BBG.
