Twitter + Google = ?

Rumours aplenty as the twittersphere awaits news of what twitter may have going on with Google. There have been hints that Google is buying twitter. Some say we should expect an announcement that will "revolutionize" twitter and enhance the service. Other people think they are going to announce the formation of a partnership.
