I've always wondered why cats like to sit on newspapers and magazines. Or generally anything noisy. Surely the noise must be louder to them, seeing as they got better hearing than us, so why would they go after something which would hurt their ears?

Furthermore.. You know how they say "You can't teach an old dog new tricks"? But does this work for cats as well? i think, or my theory is, when a cat refuses to unlearn jumping up on the counter, it's not because you can't learn it new things, but because the cat knows it bugs you and wants to keep doing it.
They think they're all sweet and cuddly..
