"Would-be buyers" continue to circle around Twitter with reports that both Google and Facebook are interested in purchasing the microblogging service ..: The estimated valuation of between $8 billion and $10 billion put on Twitter by some potential suitors points to the increasing froth in the tech sector. Executives at both Facebook Inc. and Google, among other companies, have held low-level talks with those at Twitter in recent months to explore the prospect of an acquisition of the messaging service.
