Giveaways from Las Vegas

I'm joining Dhemz' Giveaways From Las Vegas Contest and this blog post is one of the requirements for joining the contest.

I'm not actually sure if she can send me the items if ever I win in the contest but since it's open to all bloggers worldwide, there's no harm in trying my luck, eh? I haven't won any online contest yet and I've decided to join as many contests as possible in the next few days so expect more posts like this in the next days to come.

Dhemz' contest will run until July 10 so in case you want to win some freebies, head over to her shopping blog now to check out the contest rules (which are quite easy). Who knows, you might be the lucky winner.

In My Search For Online Contests...

In my search for online contests to join, I got in touch with an online friend who'll be holding a contest next month. And guess what happened, instead of looking forward to something I could win, I found myself pledging to sponsor some cash prize. LOL!

No, the amount's not even in the two digit mark. I specifically told her that anything more than that will be made in I.O.U.s - after I cash out my earnings probably at CMF Ads or received my next earnings at Adgitize.

Speaking of Adgitize, I forgot to mention that I again received $11.38 from them this month. My previous earnings of $11.67 was paid in April. I also received my earnings (gift card) from Amazon as well as a few additional books from Booksneeze. I guess it's time to update my post about my online earnings as of April 2010.

I also joined a paid to write/blog site and so far, I have earnings of $10 just for a post. Isn't that cool? I still haven't checked the minimum cash out level but will inform you all how it will go once I already receive my first payment from them.

Anyway, if you're wondering about our escapades during our month long vacation in the P.I., feel free to check out my other blog. I already posted an entry about my parasailing experience in Boracay - posted some pics too.

Happy weekend everyone!

Don't You Just Love Lockers?

I was in the Philippines when classes officially started there almost two weeks ago. While watching my younger cousins prepare for school, I remember those times when I was in school myself and had to carry a lot of books to school. Mind you, those were not just ordinary books. Some of the books we had back then were almost two inches thick that's why it was such a great relief to us back then when our Student Council provided us with school lockers that we can rent at a minimal price during the school year.

Speaking of lockers, thanks to the internet technology, now you can order gym lockers, wood lockers or any type of locker with just a click of your mouse. There are a lot of lockers for sale online right now at Morelockers.Com. You can even inquire via live chat, email or phone if you need help in choosing the products or for whatever concerns. You can have lockers for as low as $75 to as high as $1,300 depending on your needs and preferences.

How I wish that more schools and establishments will provide lockers to their students and employees. Lockers not only give their users comfort from their heavy burden, it also provides a secure place for them to leave their belongings.

Vacation's Over

Our vacation is over but I need some time to rest before blogging again. Almost 20 hours of plane ride is quite stressful especially if you barely can sleep during the flight. The car seat we brought along with us during the flight was barely used because our baby refused to sit on it. My hubby and I ended up taking our turns on holding the baby during our travel back here and spent airfare on a car seat that's empty throughout the flight.

The Money Answer Book By Dave Ramsey

Dave Ramsey shares his financial wisdom in The Money Answer Book. It is a question and answer book about financial topics, dealings, investments and stuffs that are normally faced by common people.

The book is easy to read and the question and answer format of writing makes the technical sounding terms sound less overwhelming. Many will appreciate his straightforward writing and views about personal finance.

I recommend this book to everyone who wants to get out of debt, needs some financial enlightenment or just wants a short easy to read book about personal finance.
