Peeps are always telling me "Cindi, why don't you move 'the twitterer' over to WordPress where you won't ever have to worry about blogspot censoring a post or deleting your blog."
Really?
Wordpress can and will censor your blog. Especialy if they have issues with your content. Issues that can be brought to thier attention for frivolous reasons by cyberattackers.
Someone out there doesn't like me - the twitterer, both blog and person, are being victimized by a cyberattacker. As of tonight I have been forced to make a few changes to protect myself and my family. I know you will understand, dear readers, and thank-you for your support!
We have a bug in our software, an automatic report has been sent to our developers and more whips are being applied as we speak. We apologise for the inconvenience."
Perhaps this is the "beginning of the end" for the entrecard initiative?
Last MM, Lady Java presented a video from PINK - now, the twitterer presents 2011's one, true "Pink" lady, the absolutely smashing Nicki Minaj!

So you think you're free? Have the run of the internet? So did the people of Egypt! REMEMBER: This could happen to YOU, wherever you are! (And even if it doesn't - Somebody is always watching you!)
(Reuters)In an attempt to stop the frenzied online spread of dissent against President Hosni Mubarak's 30-year rule, not only Facebook and Twitter but the entire Internet was shut down overnight, leaving some 20 million users stranded.
The U.s. White House responds via twitter: "Very concerned about violence in Egypt - government must respect the rights of the Egyptian people & turn on social networking and internet"
When protestors in Cario's Tahir Square experienced an outage in cell phone data service, nearby residents reportedly opened their home wifi services to allow protesters net access.
Internet activists are reminding Egyptians that both internet and cell phone services can be used to track users, and that security precautions are vital. EFF activist Eva Galperin, in a Global Voices Advocacy guest post, says:
it is absolutely critical that Egyptian protesters take precautions when communicating online. To reiterate, social networking tools have given activists a powerful voice, which can be heard well beyond Egypt, but activists should also remember that the Egyptian government could use these same tools to identify and retaliate against them.
Despite that, some writers and observers continue to use digital media to get their message out. Activists have found ways around the shutdown.
People around the world are focusing on radio, TV and print media. They have also been using landlines to call colleagues, friends, an relatives outside of Egypt, who are then sending messages in their name, or using landlines to connect to outside internet services.
Jan25 Voices, @Jan25voices has set up a new feed specifically to breech the internet block. They began sending messages January 28, and quickly garnered more than 700 followers.

Many of my peeps have wondered why and asked about "the twitterer on Facebook." I'm working on a "Facebook blog" but I will not be joining the social network for reasons of personal comfort and security. I believe I have made a very sound decision in the "wise-old-owl" tradition!
And here is just one more reason why "join Facebook" will never appear on my to-do list: Yahoo! Finance has announced that Facebook users who check in to a store or click the "like" button for a brand may soon find those actions retransmitted on their friends' pages as a "Sponsored Story" paid for by advertisers.
Currently there is no way for users to decline this feature.
Image borrowed from Harriet: hope it's okay for you, sis!
:( I noticed the twitterer's PR is now at a gruesome "2" down from "3" so I checked with a very computer-savvy gentleman who told me the reason why: "It's stuff like that Music Monday feature. You may love the memes, but they are big-time blog killers."
Now I must decide what to do! He also recommended deleting some of the sidebar features.
Those watching the United States "State of the Union Address" can respond and ask the president a question through YouTube or Twitter. Barack Obama will respond to a selection of questions on Thursday.

The fake 13th astrological sign was one of the top 10 things most tweeted about:
After one astronomer said that there was a 13th astrological sign called Ophiuchus, the media jumped on it, and bloggers went awry with pathetic cries of growing up under the wrong astrological sign.. It's all rubbish! To make sure you can sleep tonight, read the truth as told by astronomer Eric Francis:
As for Ophiuchus. This is an old hoax. Historically, Ophiuchus has never been listed as a constellation in the sidereal zodiac. It is a constellation out there, but it's off the ecliptic (that is, it's not along the path of the Sun through the sky). I've read that Ptolemy mentions it in his literature as an off-zodiac constellation, meaning that the Sun never travels through it. In any event, there are some two dozen constellations that touch the ecliptic; but the sidereal zodiac uses just 12 of them. The origin of the hoax is a sci-fi author named John Sladek -- a satire writer who died in 2000. Sladek liked to prank astrology, and he has a whole novel about a fictitious 13th sign based on Ophiuchus he called Arachne that was "suppressed by the scientific community." The Ophiuchus hoax first made its rounds in the late 1990s and pops up again like those emails from the guy in Nigeria who wants you to send him your bank account number so he can transfer $15 million your way.
50 Cent has reportedly made an impressive £5.5 million in one day on Twitter (USD$8.7 million), by telling his followers to invest in a company he owns shares in. But the rapper could be in for some very troubled times ahead!
Online computer hacktivists collectively known as “Anonymous” are calling for a global day of protest this Saturday — and Twitter is in the group's cross-hairs.
“We are now prepared to take the fight to the world stage," declares a message posted in the recent days on the Anonymous website WhyWeProtest.net. "Join us on Jan. 15 for the first in a series of global protests in defense of WikiLeaks and freedom of expression. Stand with us to defend your freedoms.”
Meanwhile, you can take the Twitter out of New York, but can you take New Yawk out of the Twitter? Gothamist is reporting that a new study released by Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science shows Twitter is making it easier to detect regional dialects, and may be making those dialects stronger.
Want to regionalize your tweets? Blogger Melissa Bell advises you substitute "OD" for "very" to sound like you're from New York, "hella" if you want to hail from California.
This is a little off-topic for me, peeps! I'm posting this link just to show you that things you leave behind on the information highway sometimes become "mile-markers" (American slang) in ways you may not have intended!
UK celebs Liz Hurley and Lily Allen are among stars who may have breached Office of Fair Trading rules if they endorsed products for cash without declaring an interest.
Endorsements are big business in the US, but adverts must carry a notice saying the message was paid for.
Lily, 25, who has more than 2.5 million followers, made references to PlayStation and Grey Goose vodka last year.
Liz, 45, recommended an Estee Lauder moisturizer to her 66,000 followers.
"Bluebird" is from the album, "Children of Possibility," released on September 20, 2005. Russian DJ Vadim (aka "the John Coltrane of hip hop") collaborates with Swedish-Brazilian Yarah Bravo and American Blu Rum 13.
Here's the video on youtube - an HD clip is embedded below!
As a member of London’s underground supergroup One Self (Ninja Tune), Yarah rips the microphone apart and kills MCs and stereos. She has a versatile style, and slides effortlessly between soulful jazz-inflected lines and hard hitting rhymes with tonal movements and meter shifts complementing an aphrodisiac voice that was born to be broadcast. With more than 4 languages under her belt and as a child of two freedom fighters, she is a true renaissance woman with a purpose. (WorldWideRap.com)
Yarah told upfrontonline.net that she sees herself as a worldwide hip hop nomad with the universe as her playground. She books her own shows, shoots her own videos, makes her own clothes!

If you like hard core hip-hop, here's a remix of Glitch Mob's "Fortune Days," done by DJ Vadim and featuring MCs Yarah Bravo and Pugs Atomz, part of a collection being released on January 12, 2011, The Glitch Mob is releasing a download-able 24-track remix collection with all proceeds going to benefit Download to Donate, a charity whose mission is to support disaster relief and reduce global warming. All proceeds will benefit relief for Haiti, as there are still 1.3 million homeless who need help.
When the Spanish invaded the Philippines in the late 16th century through Mexico City, they found an indigenous cooking process that involved stewing with vinegar. They referred to this method as "adobo". Over time, dishes prepared in this manner came to be known by this name as well.
Here is a tasty, spicy treat that serves about 4 to 5 people!
1½ cup vinegar
1 cup coconut milk
¼ cup soy sauce
12 garlic cloves, crushed and peeled
3 whole fiery chilies
2 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh ginger root
3 bay leaves
1½ teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
3 to 4 pounds of chicken thighs
1. Combine marinade ingredients in a large bowl or ziploc plastic freezer bag. Add chicken and turn or shake to coat. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. (Or - better yet - overnight!)
2. Place chicken and marinade in a large pot over high heat. Bring to a boil. Immediately reduce heat to a simmer and cook, put a lid on the pot and stir occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and tender, around 30 minutes.
3. Heat broiler. Transfer chicken pieces to a large bowl, raise heat under the pot to medium-high, and reduce the sauce until it achieves almost the consistency of cream, about 10 minutes. Remove bay leaves and chilies.
4. Place chicken pieces on a roasting pan. Place under broiler for about 7 minutes, until they begin to caramelize. Remove, turn chicken, baste with sauce and repeat, 3 to 5 minutes more. Return chicken to sauce and cook for a few minutes more, then place on a platter and drizzle heavily with sauce.
OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS may be added at your discretion: 3 medium-sized potatoes, quartered -or- WHOLE or halved hard-boiled eggs.
A fashion designer is suing Ms. Courtney Love, the wacky Hole front woman, for defamation , according to The Hollywood Reporter.
On March 17, 2009, Love twittered a barrage of insults aimed at one Dawn Simorangkir, a Texas fashion designer who was said to be chasing down Love for monies owed on several items from her clothing line. Love’s tweets claimed, among other things, that Simorangkir was a drug-dealing prostitute. That particular comment was automatically picked up by 40,000 people through the social networking platform, and they in turn passed them on to others.
I doubt Courtney Love is losing any sleep over this lawsuit!
The once powerful and popular social network is reportedly downsizing. Myspace had 54.4 million unique U.S. visitors in November, down 15% from a year ago: meanwhile, Facebook had 151.7 million unique U.S. visitors in November, up almost 50% from a year ago!
Happy New Year everyone! Let's make 2011 the very best! Shout-out to all of the MM participants, and a special hello to Lady Java, the blogger who makes mm possible!
